The Municipality of Heraklion invites visitors to the 41st International Tourism Exhibition PHILOXENIA to enjoy an authentic Cretan hospitality experience on Saturday, 14 November 2026, from 15:00 to 17:00, at the outdoor area in front of Pavilion 15.
With raki, antikristo (traditional Cretan slow-roasted meat), authentic Cretan delicacies and traditional music taking centre stage, Heraklion brings the spirit of a genuine Cretan gathering and celebration to Thessaloniki.
Through an immersive experience combining gastronomy, tradition, music and audience participation, visitors will have the opportunity to discover first-hand the richness of Crete’s cultural identity and the unique spirit of hospitality that defines the island.
Because in Heraklion, tradition is not simply a memory of the past, but a living part of everyday life and the contemporary tourism experience.
